~I know she killed my ego~

I was planning to write about EVERYTHING I’ve been doing since my last update -which shockingly was 6 months ago- but there’s just so much. Can we pretend that I’ve been updating properly and constantly for the past couple of months? Yes? Fantastic.

First off, some of you might’ve noticed, but I closed my you tube account. I know, but after RTL took down all my videos, I didn’t feel like there was a need to keep the channel open anymore. After all, the only reason I opened it was because of Show and the fandom. I haven’t gotten around to reposting my videos somewhere else, but I think I will soon. I’ll make sure to link them at No7_AWZ, for posterity sake. Plus you know, some of them are even ~sexy award winners.

I apparently also able to skip winter all together. There have only been 3 snow days this entire time, and Spring is around the corner. Too bad that I never really got to wear my snow boots. I guess I better not brag too much, there is always next time.

You guys will also be happy to know that I now know my downtowns and uptowns really well, and never have gotten lost or walked the wrong way. I know that Pet, Christine and Inga know what I’m talking about. *winks*

For some sad news, I just found out my roommate will be moving back to California in July, which is when our lease is up. Her dad passed away in early January, and it’s been extremely hard on her to go back and forth, while she helps her mom with all the house and business matters he left behind. I’m happy that she will be moving back to be closer to her family, but I now I’m sort of left trying to figure out a different roommate situation. I either take on the lease and find a suitable apartment mate, or just find my own studio. I’ve lived on my own before, but I will miss having another person around for movie nights or just random take out nights.

Lastly, I haven’t figured our what to do fandom wise. I really have not found anything that I can find myself being passionate about yet, but I suppose it will just come naturally, the same way AWZ came into my life. I just sometimes feel like vidding or making graphics and have nothing to inspire them.

I shall post again soon, perhaps this time I will stick to it. Lol.

Hi thar stranger! *squish*

First of all *smites RTL*

Second, fandom suggestions I've recently gotten into 2 nice fandoms:
- The Hunger Games: 1 movie and 3 books. Pretty nice and has AMAZING fanfiction. The premise of the HG world is very supportive of angst and it has really amazing and rich supporting characters.
- The Walking Dead: a comic series of more than 90 issues and a TV show of 2 seasons =19 episodes. Mindblowing show with really good storytelling. Haven't read the comics tho and not planning on it, because they're not sticking to them anyway and I don't want to garble up my mind. Anyhoo, awesome zombies, angst and dramarama. Some good fanfiction but mostly really disappointing OOC stuff. Definite lack of good fanvids (only seen 2 good ones so far).

Hey there you!

Funny enough I do have the HG books, but haven't gotten a chance to read them yet. I may cave and watch the film first, and then do the books. I have another year before the next movie installment comes out. lol.

I've heard good things about Walking Dead, and I may give that a chance, but unless it's SUPER awesome, I don't see it a fandom that I could get hooked on. But we will see. :)

Well, when I actually started both TWD and HG I didn't expect to get into the fandoms. I just heard that they were really good and wanted to enjoy the original works. I ended up loving them enough to hunt for fanfic and fanvids and interviews with the cast, etc... And of course, making icons, since that's the only thing I know how to do.
You should give them a try. Even if you don't want to get into the fandom you can still like the show/books. I'm like that with Community. I've never read a single piece of fic (although I did see a couple of awesome vids) but I love the show.

I'm sorry to hear about your roommate :( I hope everything works out for her and you get your living situation all figured out.

I feel you about fandom. I sort of tried to get involved with BBC Sherlock but had to back out quickly. That place is a steaming pile of...awfulness. Just ugh. And also my love for that show lasts for about 24 hours and then I look back on the episodes and realize they're too messed up for me to obsess over. I mean, Show wasn't perfect but I could look over a lot of the nonsense because I loved it so much. Don't love Sherlock enough to ignore how racist their second episode was. I'm sort of in fandom limbo now.

Speaking of obsessing -- I was looking over the emails me, you, and shelly were sending each other leading up to smtown and it made me laugh. I still can't believe that happened so it's nice to look back on. OH! Did you watch the YG Strong Heart Special? Hilarity. Lots of TOP. It was glorious.

I know, it's been hard on B this whole time, but I am really sad to see her go.I really am. I just want to stay in my denial bubble for a little bit longer before I have to start the hunt for a new roommate or apartment.

Oh I never really tried to check out the Sherlock fandom. Are they that awful? I honestly enjoyed the series, although I still haven't seen the every last episode. But yeah, fandom limbo is a good way to put it. Thinking about it, I don't think I even have the time, but I feel like I need a fandom to force to ~have the time. I barely had time for AWZ, but always managed. So I don't know.

Oh those crazy ALL CAPS emails. I can't believe it's been so long since you and I were sleeping on an air mattress. lol.

OMG, I did watch the first episode! It was amazing.TOP is ridiculous. I watched a video with sort of weird subs. There is a part where he talks about how he tends to get easily mad when people make fun of or embarrass him in variety shows (like in Family Outing) but the subs used the word "AROUSED" instead. I could not stop giggle. I LOVED IT.

Re: Sherlock Fandom

I think they're... there are those who are just in it for kicks (the small number) and who are creative and amusing, but the fandom seems to have been taken over since the first season. I suppose that happens as the fanbase grows, but it was legitimate a pretty cool fandom originally, then it went DIEHARD. Like, awkward things and people arguing and fandom wars. The thing I originally enjoyed was the fact that it wasn't a fan-war-y fandom - there was no "our Sherlock is better than the other Sherlocks" or anything. Hahaha, good, clean fun. Well, filthy occasionally, but still fun.

But that might have just been the people I chose to interact with... many of whom seem to have since cracked and gone insane, and are very self-righteous about their position as a fan. Entitlement crowd again, I suppose. Squicky. To be fair, I only ever was fandom-y on Tumblr, so you get the very best and the very stupid, but MOST of the wank stays on LJ or somewhere else.

Unfortunate, really, because despite that second episode [info]samedy mentioned, it's a good show. At least, I love it. I find it hard to fault, really - the cinematography, even, is magnificent.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *GROPEFLAIL* It feels like it's been forever. HI. HI HOW ARE YOU. HI.

I'LL BE YOUR FLATMATE! TAKE ME! PLEASE! *waves hand obnoxiously* Okay, so maybe not, but the idea is there. I'll bring the prosecco. Hypothetically. Hm.

I'm in the same boat fandom-wise, I think. I'm waiting for something to really grab my imagination. the last series of Sherlock did, but now it's like... ~waiting~ I default to Buffy fairly often, and I just finished the second season of Dollhouse, but I'm not fandom-y about Dollhouse. I just flail about it with the guy I've been watching it with.

My current fandom is chocolate. Delicious.

I WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU LIVED WITH ME. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE ALL THE CUPCAKES YOU WOULD BAKE...FOR ME!!! LOL (Plus of course the pleasure of your company hahah)

Honestly I've never been a fandom kind of person, but AWZ was different. I don't know. We will see. Like I said, I don't really have the ~time, but I would like to have that feeling of WANTING TO MAKE THINGS, and push the time continuum.
